We’re Doug and Rebecca Walker, married now for 12 blissful years. We have a miracle child, Audrey, now 7 yrs old! And we’ve been on a long journey adopting embryos! Not only are we trying to save their lives, but also we’re trying to grow our family. We’d love to adopt and share with another child the love that we have for God and how He has adopted us into His family by the gracious saving blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, to pay the debt our sin owes.
We live in Knoxville, TN. We’re dedicated members of our wonderful church family. We love homeschooling and sharing with others how God has mercifully helped us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him! He has sustained us through 12 years of chronic, incurable sickness, zillions of surgeries and infertility.We conceived Audrey on our own against all odds. But we lost one baby when Audrey was 14 months. During our first frozen embryo implantation, we lost 2 babies in the thaw, and 2 after being implanted. There’ve been tough trials, but all are fleeting compared to the hope of eternity!
Doug is a software engineer and a self-proclaimed geek. He loves to write code, be our church’s webmaster, and singing! Rebecca is a stay-at-home, homeschoolin’ Momma! She used to teach preschool, but much more prefers staying home with our punkin’ head. Rebecca does lots of cooking and baking, and has held the nick-name ‘the kitchen diva’ for 11 years now. She does like to make beaded jewelry also. But definitely our common loves are pursuing God, committing our marriage to God, shepherding Audrey’s heart with God’s Word, our most amazing church home, and our extended families….and coffee! Life doesn’t get much better when we’re with all the siblings, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandparents, and folks drinking coffee, sharing how God’s working in our lives while all the little ones play together!!!
